The main reason for this frankly is it was being abused, we were receiving a high volume of calls related to questions that are automatically e-mailed upon purchase of products as well as listed in plain view on our websites.
The duration and quantity of these calls were going to cause a drastic increase in the cost of our products or the removal of phone support.
We choose to drop phone support.
This allowed us to maintain our low pricing, prevent layoffs and still offer support to our customers, it was really the best option for all of us.
